Volkswagen has announced an agreement in principle between itself and US authorities. While the specifics are still under discussion, the company is set to create a fund to repair the environmental damage its vehicles caused, will buy back cars from current TDI owners, and may offer payment on top of the buyback to sweeten the deal.
