Storms that wreaked Christmas havoc across the US now supercharged, headed for the North Pole

The storms that slashed across the US last week have moved into the North Atlantic, but they haven't died down. Temperatures at the North Pole are expected to surge to an unprecedented 50 degrees above normal, while Iceland and northern England are hit by one of the strongest winter storms on record.
