‘Tissue velcro’ allows for scalable assembly of cardiac cell power units
A big step forward in the heart repair business was recently made at the University of Toronto. Researchers there have come up with a promising new way to assemble 2D cellular sheets into 3D cardiac tissues that beat in unison, and may provide a new way to fix ailing hearts.
